100% MULBERRY SILK
Mulberry silk is the finest silk available in the world. It is made from silk worms feeding only from Mulberry tree leaves, the resulting silk is pure white in color and made up of individual long fibers, Mulberry silk is more refined than other types of silk.
22 momme
22 mm silk has almost 20% more silk per square inch than 19 mm does. The denser weave better sheen and smoothness and results in stronger durability. It’s estimated that 22 mm pure silk sheets have almost double the life of lower momme weights.
Taking care of your silk pillowcase
Silk is a very delicate material, and better you will take care of it, longer it will serve you. Regular silk pillowcases can only be hand washed or dry cleaned, but our silk pillowcase is higher quality and can be machine washed, but care needs to be taken with choosing gentle washing cycle, low temperature (not higher than 30C) and using ph neutral liquid detergent and/or fabric softener. Delicates bag or washing bag is recommended.
delicate washing settings
Make sure you have selected delicate fabric washing cycle, and that temperature is not higher than 30C. We woud recommend washing it at cold temperature.
PH neutral detergent
Choose detergent that is PH neutral or specifically designed for silk. Washing silk in solution which is too acidic or alkaline, can harden silk. Don't use bleach.
No tumble dry & Iron on low
Do not tumble dry, and hang dry the pillowcase. When ironing, use only low settings and steam or just steam it.
